Lyrics
LIFELINE
No, nobody can hear me inside this void
If I disappear
In this silence
We come into this world, full of sound and light
Now I feel so quiet
Boys do not cry
Boys do not cry
When all light fades from my tired eyes
Don’t look for me no more
Don’t look for me no more
I wish someone could see me and hear my prayer
Tell me it’s ok
In this silence
I wish my thoughts could reach someone’s mind without
A voice or a sound
Boys do not cry
Boys do not cry
When all light fades from my tired eyes
Don’t look for me no more
Don’t look for me no more
When all hope fails along with my last breath
No love or hate remains
Eternity awaits
When it’s all over
I will remember
The warmth of your smile
How you were by my side
When light is pale in my tired eyes
Please look for me once more
Please look for me once more
When colours fade, the sun is far away
Your love and faith remains
My lifeline awaits
The Story
“LIFELINE” is the third single from Season of Ghosts’ forthcoming third studio album. “LIFELINE” explores human fragility at the brink of defeat, primarily through the male perspective. The song is a close look at some of the ramifications of societal norms, expectations and limiting beliefs imprinted on men at an intergenerational scale. Yet, amidst this struggle, it highlights the powerful simplicity of authentic human connection and how it can disrupt that narrative, bestowing the gift of renewed strength, with the reminder that we heal in relationship.
