Lyrics
The Road so Far
A Place to Call Home
I recall a time when we were allowed
To sleep tight, even for a while
But now I feel I don’t belong
To this tragedy, oh no
Let me ask you this
Does happily ever after exist?
Tell me I’m not the only one
Tell me what you see
A little cloud in the unknown
A place to call home
Show me life without regret
Where I can rest my soul
Victim of a circumstance
I will be no more
I recall a time when our hearts were whole
And we planned ahead with our eyes so bright
But now I feel as if my life’s
Got the best of me, oh no
Tell me I’m not the only one
Tell me what you see
A little cloud in the unknown
A place to call home
Show me life without regret
Where I can rest my soul
Victim of a circumstance
I will be no more
Life is so strange
Astero[:ID] - Asteroid
To the corners of the earth
I have travelled just to find you
Through the universe we run
Like an asteroid around the sun
There are moments in our life
We can’t describe
Looking for a way to find
Our way back
Are you still in there?
Are you still there now?
To the corners of the earth
I have travelled just to find you
Through the universe we run
Like an asteroid around the sun
Wipe your tears
Even if no one else can understand you
Choose your path
And never surrender again
Maybe you don’t recognise
Your face no more
And you’re weary of this fight
Alone
All my scars are mine
(Yet) somehow I’m still alive
Wipe your tears
All that we’ve lost beyond our comprehension
We release
And never surrender again
Wipe your tears
Even if no one else can understand you
Choose your path
And never surrender again
Listen
Listen
I’m not a model child
I guess I’ll never be
I speak my mind
I go against
The things you hold so dear
No fear only regret
I leave behind me now
Cos you never really cared enough
To listen, listen
Listen
I’m not the perfect one
For you I’ll never be
My words might hurt
But you will hear no lies from me
Your insecurities, social conformities
I couldn’t care less
My mind is free and it’s not pretty
No fear only regret
I leave behind me now
Cos you never really cared enough
To listen, listen
Bridge:
You failed to see past
Your own image of the world
A world I never fit in
Goodbye
No fear only regret
I leave behind me now
Cos you never really cared enough
To listen, listen
A Leap of Faith
I want you to know
That nothing will be
The same anymore
I want you to know
That nothing will feel
The same anymore
I’m the hand that feeds
While my spirit screams
Like a barren tree
Habit’s not a need
I have to break free
Habit’s not a need
Through the holes
In my clothes
I see the world
Take a leap of faith
Fly in the unknown
You falter
There’s no punishment
Only consequence
And wonder
And I want you to know
That even if you suffer all alone
There’s nothing to fear
You only need the power to let go
I’m the hand that feeds
And my bones they creak
Like a barren tree
All those promises
Drowning in this mess
How can I forget?
In the middle of
The world I stand
Unbreakable
With a leap of faith
Create your own fate
Unshakeable
Take a leap of faith
Fly in the unknown
You falter
There’s no punishment
Only consequence
And wonder
How The Story Ends
You told me that’s what life is about
But how it ends, is for me to decide
(As) everybody stared in disbelief
My tears were my only friend
Now I decide this is how the story ends
Cannot pretend I like what I see
Cannot help feeling sad
For all that is and was
And will never be
At least for me
Now I’m free
You told me it’s all in my head
But I see through the walls of misery
I see truth for what it really is
I decide that’s how the story ends!
Now I decide this is how the story ends
Cannot pretend I like what I see
Cannot help feeling sad
For all that is and was
And will never be
At least for me
Now I’m free
We are, we are
Like fire in the wind
We are, we are
Like fire in the wind…
Almost Human
I’m sorry I did not know
How to protect you from the hate
The fear piercing through your heart
I’m sorry I could not protect you
From the crushing wave of lies
That ravaged your soul leaving you
Breathless and bare
I am here
I am here now
I am here
I am here now
Oh I know
Oh I know
Oh I know
I could save everyone but you
I am almost human now
I’m sorry I did not know
How to protect you from the shame
Like poison running through your veins
I’m sorry I could not defend
Your sanity, your love for life
I didn’t know your worth and left you
Crash and burn
I am here
I am here now
I am here
I am here now
I could save everyone but you
I am almost human now
What A Time To Be Alive
I’ve been trying to tell the world
Things are okay, don’t you worry
Out of fear that I’d lose control
I know no one would feel sorry
The truth is here
I see it clear
What a time
What a time
What a time to be alive!
All my tears
In a box
I send to the other side
See, the world goes on without you
Don’t resist, you’re not allowed to
Now I’m holding hands with myself
I am my own saviour, break the spell
The future’s here
I see it clear
What a time
What a time
What a time to be alive!
All my tears
In a box
I send to the other side
Are you strong enough
To face what’s about to come?
Tonight let us celebrate
‘Cos we have nowhere to run
Tonight let us dream free
(Of) a world we might never see
Oh how I wish we got to live
Our life the other way around!
You Are Not Your Pain
